The caves were acquired in 1962 by Santiago Aranda, who restored them, maintaining the characteristics of the cave houses found in
this Cumbrera area. They were acquired in the mid-1990s by the Artenara City Council for use as a local Ethnographic Museum. Their
interior is furnished with a variety of furnishings and numerous details typical of traditional local dwellings.
A group of seven artificial caves dug into the rock, accessed through a landscaped courtyard.
